  14. I’m still trying to regain my footing after losing all my photos when my pc and portable hard drive crashed. They were able to save all my original photos but not the lightroom adjustments I made over the past two years so all I can say to everyone and anyone- BACK IT UP! And then BACK IT UP AGAIN!!

    • Wowwww…. I am very happy I had my images saved ~ I back up everything weekly now 🙂 a very hard lesson…and whats worse is I KNOW BETTER!! 🙂

      • I knew better, too, and thought I was smart by having all my photos on a portable drive. But you have to unplug it in a specific way and I didn’t. So I corrupted the files. Cost me $300!

      • Ohhhh … thats terrible! I have no shame to admit that I’m a file hoarder so I usually keep everything backed up again, again, again and again 🙂 ….$300 PLUS loosing your files…that hurts.

      • well do not forget that pauses from blogging can be very good – feel like i have said this a lot lately – but sometimes the right pause – even for life’s busy times – well it gives us a fresh break from just posting all the time – which can lose essence for some if it is just non-stop non-stop – so while I am still learning things in the blog world – I see that folks who take breaks – or are able to pace – are sometimes less prone to burnout or quitting for good if that makes sense – ha! anyhow, have a nice weekend

      • Hi West. 🙂 Anyway I tried to link I would get the darn 404 error. I even googled you but the posts ended up as dead ends. (Now I’m told my gravatar too, sometimes leads to 404) So, I couldn’t believe my luck when I liked a post by someone and just saw your gravatar! Hey! Lovely. 🙂
