I guess it applies to all subjects, right? The more you love a subject (e.g. old derelict wooden houses in the wilderness or vintage signs) the better you “portray” them?

Now this sounds like you know of just the proper way for a lady to spend the holidays ~ “lying sleepily beneath a gentle mist with a bottle of wine, a free lens … and twilight, resting on petals.” Poetic, and great shots. Hope the holidays were great for you and your family.

Funny how flowers can irresistibly draw you into themselves, isn’t it? Silky, perfumed petals– soft textures, bright colors and a delicately strong beauty.. and these, above all, my favorites.

Back in China, on my way to the office there are two flower stalls I must pass…and one of the best parts of the day is to slow down and enjoy the fragrance… In Taiwan once, I met some people admiring a beautiful flower called The Queen of the Night (also know as the Nightblooming Cereus), it blooms once a year at night…and begins it death by the dawn. Fragrant and with a story like that it has become my favorite flower. Just realized a new goal for 2016 ~ photograph one blooming if I can get the chance to do so 🙂

Yes! I know this flower — or at least heard of it~ “begins its death by dawn…” I believe, if I am remembering correctly, this flower possesses an extraordinary cascading kind of beauty … now I have to go look it up 🙂

Good choice, for it is not to often you get to enjoy such taste of fresh salmon with all this chaos around you ~ sleep in and catch up on work later 🙂
