  1. You, my dear should think of publishing a book on urban America. Vintage revisited. Twilight zone trapped.
“Home of the grit-raised” (Potato? really?)

  2. This is a classic shot – brings back nostalgic times of home ~ the best experience of a donut shop with friends, coffee, such a great feeling. I can find myself in any strange city, and the sight of a classic donut shop/sign instantly brings back those good feelings πŸ™‚ Wishing you a great day ~

    1. Thank you! I love this place and always try to stop in when I am in the area~ do you have these in Oregon? In Orlando we have an old Krispy Kreme store/bakery that is fantastic…. and whenever I go downtown I always try to time my trip to coincide with the “HOT NOW” neon sign that lights up— alerting the world pastry perfection is …HOT NOW!! :p

      1. We do not have these in Oregon…wish we did. Believe it or not, I’ve never had a Krispy Kreme…I’ve run into a few overseas, but only got a coffee from there as I want my first one to be in the States (people I traveled with thought I was crazy…). I want my that first one to be a HOT NOW. πŸ™‚

      2. Never?? No, I can’t believe it…trust me it is well worth the wait!!! ….and if you don’t mind – I would like to recommend a Boston Cream. Perfection …for only $1.29 πŸ˜‰

      3. It is pretty crazy…love my donuts. Boston Cream sounds great one of my favorites ~ the other being a rare peanut butter-chocolate butterfly that my home town shop makes πŸ™‚

  3. I don’t usually eat donuts but just happened to have half of one this morning. Which has absolutely nothing to do with your post except I like your image better than the half a donut I ate!!
