Daydreaming beneath a snow white trellis, listening to the whisper of flowers sharing secrets, I smile and think about everything in my life that I am most in love with.

  1. Wow, this is a beautiful shot ~ and the perfect words as well “whisper of flowers sharing secrets, I smile and think about everything in my life that I am most in love with” … being able to do this as you do, definitely a wonderful life you live πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you~ with all its ups and downs– I am very thankful for the smiles, faces and voices of all the people in my life who bring me so much joy …. “flowers sharing secrets…” something they do well I think.

    1. Thank you so much Emilio πŸ™‚ …awww thx! Yes this is new for me. I’m so very bored with me — ugh.

So I’ve been experimenting with different angles, processing … I’ve also been challenging myself and my perceptions of strength, beauty, grace AND abandon– all in an attempt to translate a deeper atmospheric presence in both the subject and image — I’ve also been doing a little freelensing… experimenting with light — which, when I can manage to do it half way decently- I really like. ❀

      1. I think it’s time for me to take a cue from you. We were out this weekend and I couldn’t find anything exciting as it all started to look the same. I have to expand my technique, my subjects, my processing. Just so no one expects the same from me all the time! Thanks, West!

      2. I’d love to see what you come up with!! …Changing things up a little has helped me not to get blog-weary — although it is something I enjoy very much, it’s a little like running– every once in a while, you’ve got to change your tunes (at least that’s true for me!)

and ps– your images and processing are light years ahead of mine~ so it’s not likely anyone would tire of your work just as it is πŸ™‚

      3. No one but me. I do feel like I found a processing routine that achieves great results for what I’m looking to post. But at the same time, I’m doing it almost by rote. I could make a preset and use it on all my images and that’s not really what I want to do. At least, I don’t think I want to do it. I may change my mind again and conclude it’s great to have a recognizable style. Who knows?

      4. I definitely think you have an distinct signature style that always fits your images perfectly. πŸ™‚

Something I’ve tried to do is change some of my perceptions — take rust for example– the process of turning metals back to their unrefined, natural state… I love rust- and lately when I see it, instead of looking at it and seeing decay- I see a process of life instead- a return to nature in a way. This probably sounds very weird lol- and I don’t mean for it too– but just a small difference in the way I look at something- has opened new doors to me creatively… and given me some much needed inspiration. πŸ™‚ …I hope that made sense~

      5. Weird? Not at all. I love your description of rust actually being a process of life. And I complain about always choosing the same types of subjects for my photos but I went out yesterday and that’s all I took again. It seems that’s all I see, though it’s not all that’s actually there. I just have to change my perceptions, too!

      6. πŸ™‚ I realized after I wrote it that it might have sounded a little strange – but I’m glad you didn’t think so~ I have the same attraction to old, abandoned things… not so good at cars and such — I like houses MUCH better πŸ˜€

Was reading your ‘chat’ with Emilio… A new direction is always great. Love your ideas and what you are doing πŸ˜ƒ

  3. Absolute perfection. What a delightful, enchanting image. Just gorgeous. What colour, what lighting…and such dazzling words to enhance the beautiful, dreamy moment. Ebullient cheers,

So far I find him a little perplexing … sometimes bright and carefree and others dark and moody but in the end, I guess thats why we love him so much! Thanks again Autumn J β™‘
